SHAILYX ARABIANS is located on the shores of Lake Huron, Ontario Canada. Situated on 83.5 acres, it is home to mainly Arabians and Quarter Horses.
The horse madness started when Dara was nine and moved from the city to the country. She was given a Saddlebred mare in foal and if that mare produced a filly then she would be allowed to keep it. If it was a colt, it was to be sold. As luck would have it, it was a lovely chestnut filly. What do you get when you toss a kid with no experience and a foal together? A LOT of hard lessons and she swears that foal enjoyed every minute of it! Needless to say she learned quickly and she still owns that foal who is now an aged but much loved companion on their farm.
Eventually her parents program switched over to Arabians and although her parents are no longer in the horse business, Dara and her husband Eric have carried on with the dream. Their program contains lines of Imperial Baarez, Imperial Madheen, Imperial Al Kamar, Imperial Sheehab, Safeen, Ibn Safinaz, Ibn Shamruk, Tammen, Ben Malik, Dalul, Jamil, El Halimaar and new to the program is the addition of more Ansata lines.
